Reservation Policy

Reservations must be confirmed by email or online payment form and must be guaranteed with the payment of a deposit by French cheque, credit (MasterCard or Visa) or debit card:

  • 25% of the total accommodation cost of your stay
  • Your balance payment will be payable on arrival
  • We do not accept American Express nor Diners credit cards

Minimum Stay

We have a minimum 3 nights stay policy in our Chambre d’hote /Bed and Breakfast and 4 nights minimum stay, in our luxury Gite Beau Rives and the Manor house (when the entire house is reserved for one party).

During our peak season (End of June to start of September, we have a 3 nights min stay policy in our Bed and Breakfast, and 1 week minimum stay, in our luxury villa Beau Rives and the Manor house (when the entire house is reserved for one party). Change over day is Saturday to Saturday during this peak season.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received at least 4 weeks before arrival date, we will refund the deposit made.

Cancellations received less than 4 weeks before arrival date, the full amount of your stay will be due.

Cancellation part way through your stay, remaining nights will be charged in full.

If we are able to re-sell the room(s) or Gites, for nights cancelled, for an equal or greater value, we will make the respective refund.

A “no-show” is regarded as a failure to arrive before 11pm, without notification, on the date reserved whereupon we reserve the right to charge your credit card for the full duration of your stay.

It is the responsibility of each guest to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance in place to cover the eventuality of the costs incurred by their cancellation. We are happy to supply written evidence of your reservation and any deposits made should these be requested by your insurance provider.

Arrival & Departure Times

You are welcome to arrive between 4pm and 7pm. If your travel plans dictate a later arrival, or you are delayed on route, please let us know so that we can ensure we are able to welcome you on arrival.

We ask that you vacate your room by 10am on your day of departure unless otherwise agreed by us. This is simply to allow us enough time to clean and prepare the rooms.

Alteration or Cancellation by Us

It is highly unlikely that we will have to alter or cancel the confirmed booking but we must reserve the right to do so. If we have to make a significant change to the reservation we will offer compensation or a full refund unless the alteration or cancellation is as a result of “Force Majeure”.

Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.

Damages to Property Caused by Guests

We reserve the right to recover from our guest, the cost of repairs or replacements of any damage or loss caused. We also reserve the right to terminate the holiday of any guest whose behavior is considered detrimental to the owner, its guests or any third party and no further contractual obligations will apply.

We ask that our guests bring to our attention any damage found at the property within 24 hours of arrival.


Inside the property of Les Charmes de Carlucet it is a completely smoking free environment. Guests who wish to smoke are kindly requested to do so outside in the garden.


Unfortunately, we do not allow pets to be brought into the property unless they are assistance dogs.

Personal Belongings and Security

Security at the property will be taken seriously by us. We request that our guests take care to minimise risks. All personal items including baggage and equipment are at all times and circumstances at the owner’s risk and we cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage to such items. We advise our guests to use the safe deposit boxes in each room for placing valuable items.


We welcome children to Les Charmes de Carlucet. Children’s parents or guardians must accept responsibility for the behavior and welfare of any children in their party. Every effort is made to ensure safety at the property.

Travel Insurance

We strongly advise our guests to obtain comprehensive travel insurance cover, as we cannot be liable for injury, loss, damage, and delay of flights, expense or inconvenience of any kind or any cause.

Additional charges

The water and electricity supply is included in the prices advertised on our website www.carlucet.com

The cost of cleaning prior to arrival in the gites and Chambre d’hote is included in the prices shown on the website. Rooms in the Chambre d’hote will be freshened up each day.

Additional cleaning can be requested during the stay and the price agreed with the owners.

Pool opening times

The large pool at the Manor house is open from 8am until 9.30pm subject to weather and light allowing.


Breakfast will be served in the Manor house for guests booked with Bed and Breakfast from 8.30am until 10am. Outside these time, requests must be made to us and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Evening meals, snacks and picnics

At certain times we will offer evening meals to our guests. Special requests can also be made for evening meals with prior arrangement.

Snacks and aperitives can be served between 5pm and 8pm.
Picnics can be provided by prior arrangement.

Privacy Policy

Les Charmes de Carlucet are compliant with Data Privacy rules.

We keep your personal information you have given us for a period of 3 years after your stay with us. We guard your privacy and we are the only ones who have access to your personal information. We do not pass this information on to any third party.

Your rights for data privacy is maintained at all times. You have the right to request the information, modify it or delete it at any time.
