Conocimos a Kerry y Tomas hace años y no han perdido un mínimo de su alto nivel en sus hospedajes. Este año estrenamos la pequeña "cottage", que de pequeña no tenía nada. Una casa de ensueño, con todo detalle tanto en decoración como en servicios, menaje, ropa de cama, terraza con todo lo necesario y más y ese maravilloso jacuzzi desde donde disfrutar unas vistas de ensueño. Los atardeceres vienen incluidos y merecen mucho la pena! Te reciben además con productos típicos de la zona con los que te puedes hacer una buena cena y un delicioso desayuno. Te dan mil consejos para visitar la zona y los mejores sitios para comer. En fín, no se puede pedir más a un sitio así. Bueno sí, volver....Sue Bailey2023-07-23I have been lucky enough to stay at Les Charmes du Carlucet on a number of occasions, and the most recent was the best. The difficulty in life at the moment was momentarily forgotten in this idyllic part of France. Kerry and Tomas are delightful hosts, always ready to help to make your stay perfect. There are so many activities in the area, it really is an all year round holiday destination. Charming little village of Salignac nearby and super comfortable accommodations. Kerry and Tomas took such good care of us with five star service all the way, from a weekly cleaning to restaurant reservations, to day trip suggestions to kitchen needs, you name it!! Wifi was great with streaming, loved the pool and BBQ. Great laundry since we were there for a month. We will definitely visit again. Five star service, five star accommodations! Gorgeous area of France!Agnes Buschendorf2023-04-24Like a princess in a castle! We were a group of 10 people coming down from Germany. This stay was perfect for us in an amazing manor, nothing missing, not even the sun. Kerry and Thomas are the perfect hosts, no wish stays open. I really love this place and I recommend it to everyone who wants to have a beautiful stay in Dordogne!Anne-Marie Flynn2022-12-10The location of Les Charmes de Carlucet is beautiful, the house was so warm and welcoming and the whole place feels both special and homely at the same time. But what made it for me, aside from the brilliant watercolour course run by fabulous Christine Forbes, were Kerry and Tomas! They could not do enough for us - they were helpful in terms of knowledge about the local area and places to see and best routes home for car drivers, but they also made us all feel just like welcome house guests/friends. They catered to our many gluten-free, lactose-intolerances and Tomas took real pride and pleasure in cooking the most delicious meals for us and they were lovely company. Breakfasts were extremely generous and again, were bespoke, and we had some wonderful plant-based lunches and fab suppers all with beautiful ingredients grown there or locally. I didn't get to use the pool because I had a cold, but it looked lovely and everyone else enjoyed it. I didn't stay in Beaux Reves but I was given a tour of it and it is beautiful and would be the most perfect base for a family or two wanting to explore this stunning region of France. It also has its own pool. I cannot recommend Kerry and Tomas' residences more highly. Lastly, Christine Forbes' Watercolour holiday was amazing. She is very relaxed and encouraging and does lots of really useful demos. She took us out to do plein air painting and made sure we all had some quality one-on-one time and by the end of the holiday, you could really see everyone's progression. Christine is also just a very easy-going, interesting person and lovely to spend time with, as well as being a great tutor! I really recommend her watercolour holiday here.Hassina A.2022-10-21In September 2022, I organized 2 yoga retreats: one at the Beaux Reves and one at the Manor House. I have to say that these were my best retreats EVER!! The houses are in a great location, so close to Sarlat, Lascaux, Beynac, etc. and are beautifully decorated. The hosts, Kerry and Tomas, are so kind and ready to help to ensure you have the best of time. We even hired Tomas as our chef and enjoyed some delicious meals. I am already planning another retreat there next year. I recommend this place without any reservation.Jennifer Bean2022-10-12Our stay at Les Charles De Carlucet was a wonderful experience. The sereneness of the setting and the beauty of the region were only surpassed by being welcomed so warmly and superbly by our hosts. This home was beautiful and luxurious and in the perfect location for exploring medieval villages by day and enjoying a star filled evening at night. The dinners prepared by one of the hosts were incredible and at times the highlight of the day. The whole region is a gastrinomical adventure with duck and fois gras available almost everywhere. The hosts arranged a massage therapist to come onsite for me which made things very easy and enjoyable. Dordogne is a wonderful region of France that I had not explored before but will definitely consider returning to in the future and this is exactly where I would want to stay on any return visit.Joanne Moss2022-10-08We have just returned home after a wonderful week at Charmes de Carlucet on a watercolour holiday. Kerry and Tomas are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The location is absolutely stunning. The week was fabulous in every way! We will definitely be returning.

Debbie Richards2019-09-16We first visited les Charmes de Carlucet in May last year and immediately booked to return this year. It is about 20 minutes north of Sarlat in a lovely, sleepy little hamlet. We travelled as a family group of 4 generations and the house was absolutely perfect. There are 6 spacious en-suite bedrooms that are all very tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean, a very well equipped kitchen, large lounge area and a lovely breakfast room with glass on 2 sides overlooking the garden. The large pool area is fabulous, with plenty of loungers, parasols and even inflatables. There are very large gardens, so plenty of privacy, also a gas bbq and tables and benches for dining al fresco. Kerry and Tomas are the most perfect hosts you could wish for. They are a really lovely, friendly couple, always on hand when needed and to offer great advice on the local area, but never intrusive...... we can’t wait to return!
Clare Silcock2019-09-04We spent a perfect week in late August at Les Charmes de Carlucet as a family of four. The help and advice from our hosts (Kerry and Tomas) and their level of attention to detail was one of the many things that made this stay such a wonderful one. Kerry took time on our first afternoon to run though the various attractions in the area, many of which we took up and all of which were fantastic (we'd particularly recommend Lascaux caves and the BikeBus rides as well as the local night market). Where we needed to book ahead and print the tickets, she helped us with that as well meaning we didn't need to worry at all about the queueing anywhere! The house itself was immaculate and really well equipped with everything we could need in the kitchen along with a lovely welcome pack on our arrival. We all enjoyed cooling off in the heated pool at the end of the day as well and the air conditioning in the bedrooms were just as welcome at nights. The area itself is beautiful - Carlucet is a small village but the local bar/ restaurant served delicious food and was a very short walk from the house. The nearby village of Salignac had everything we needed to keep us going - small supermarket/ butchers/ boulangerie etc. For us, Les Charmes de Carlucet had every element needed for a wonderful family holiday and I would whole heartedly recommend it.
Alison Read2019-08-20We just wanted to say thank you so much for such a lovely holiday - it was the perfect family break. We have never (despite endless searching) stayed in such a beautiful, clean, well resourced house which was so easy to live in and had everything we needed - and more! We are very lucky that our 18 and 20 year old wanted to come away with us and they loved it too. We loved the fact that everyone had their own bathroom! The privacy of the house, patio and pool area was just what we wanted, yet Kerry and Tomas were on hand if we had any questions. This area of the Dordogne is beautiful with lots of towns to visit, activities to do and restaurants in which to eat. We enjoyed Auberge d'Imbes - one of the restaurants personally recommended by Kerry and Tomas - in fact all recommendations were honest and very good. We really appreciate all the time and effort that you put in to make us feel welcome - even down to the fabulous welcome pack. Thank you so much - we shall return!
Joakim Skarpsno2019-08-15Wow is what describes our stay at this beautiful property. We had family and friends come join us from different corners of the world and this place took our special moment and made it exponentially better. We were able to relax, enjoy the pool area, drink, cook and eat! The kitchen had everything we could think off. We even had a bet to come up with something missing, but never found anything. I was envious of their dishwasher. Everything cleaned in minutes! My wife and I did quite a bit of travelling this time around and while every place claimed to have air conditioning, it generally worked poorly. However, Les Charmes de Carlucet has excellent A/C in their rooms, great for the hot summers. Kerry and Thomas were terrific hosts. They take a lot of pride in their property and make sure that their visitors enjoy their time. Kerry provided information on a lot of options available nearby. For us specifically we were able to enjoy a white dress only party at a nearby garden. A great experience. Also, her recommendation to a nearby restaurant was spot on. This place definitely helped make our stay one of the most memorable vacations! Cheers!

Six adults and six children over 3 generations found plenty of space to enjoy time together as a family in this lovely house.The pool was wonderful, the house luxurious and Kerry and Tomas couldn’t have been more helpful. Our five year old grand daughter was pleased to meet Evie . One evening the wonderful Henri came to cook for us and we were able to enjoy a superb meal served by his wife..... their homemade walnut liqueur was delicious . Thankyou for our very special holiday.

Prachtige gite, gewoon alles is aanwezig, zeer ruim, gezellig ingericht, proper,...De gite wordt uitgebaat door zeer vriendelijke mensen, een uitgebreid welkomstpakket lag klaar bij aankomst zodanig dat we direct een hapje konden eten! De ligging van de gite is perfect! Een woord: een echte aanrader!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations - the luxurious bedding and attention to detail; the hospitality - cheery good mornings with delicious breakfasts; and ventures into the surrounding villages and gardens - St. Crepin, Sarlat, Domme, Marqueyssac, and Eyrignac. Kerry and Tomas anticipated our every need and are such a fun couple! The manor house has the comfort of modern living set in the charming backdrop of 18th century architecture in the lovely Dordogne region.

Alastair Johnston2017-04-28Just stayed with Kerry and Tomas and Evie in les Charmes, beautiful place, very peaceful and relaxing, great hospitality, large pool at 28 deg c. great surrounding villages and terrific roads for biking. Did a bit of canoeing on the Dordogne. Just a great few days.
